Ingredients
- 2 large sweet potatoes, peeled, cut into fries
- 1 tsp olive oil
- Salt (for sprinkling, not too much!)
- 1 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
- ½ garlic granules

A tip from Sweetato: To help make your fries yummy and crispy without them turning black in the oven, cut the potatoes into ¼ inch thick spears then cut off the pointy tips of the spears so they don’t burn! Square-off your edges!

Method
- Clean, clean, clean! Clean down all your work surfaces.
- Preheat the oven to 220C/200C fan/Gas 7.
- Place the fries onto a baking tray. Drizzle with oil and sprinkle with salt (a small amount), smoked paprika and garlic granules, tossing to coat.
- Spread the fries out in a single layer and bake for 15–20 minutes, or until golden and crisp.
- Remove the fries from the oven and check the seasoning is to taste. Serve immediately.
