Move over, regular potatoes – it’s time to give the spotlight to the sweet potato! These bright orange root veggies are not only delicious, but also packed with nutrients. Sweet potatoes are rich in beta-carotene, which can help improve your vision and boost your immune system. 

Saturday 

It’s time to give a round of applause to the elegant and tasty asparagus! These long, green stalks are not only a gourmet delicacy, but also packed with nutrients. Asparagus is a great source of vitamins A, C, E, and K, as well as folate, which is important for brain and nerve function. 

Sunday 

Let’s give a shout-out to the humble yet mighty onion! These tear-inducing veggies are not only flavourful, but also packed with health benefits. Onions are rich in antioxidants, which can help protect your cells from damage and reduce inflammation in your body. 

Veggie Recipes

Broccoli

Just mix together some steamed broccoli, shredded cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, and egg, then pop them in the oven for 15 minutes. Carrots 

Here is a recipe for some delicious and healthy carrot fries that you can enjoy as a snack or a side dish. You’ll need some fresh carrots, olive oil, and your favourite spices, such as garlic powder, paprika, and salt. Preheat your oven to 200-degree Celsius. Wash and peel the carrots, and cut them into thin and even strips. Toss the carrot strips with olive oil and spices, and bake for around 15-20 minutes, until they are crispy and golden brown. 

Spinach 

You could try making a spinach smoothie! To make this delicious smoothie, you’ll need some fresh spinach leaves, a banana, some frozen fruit, and some milk or yogurt. Simply blend all the ingredients together in a blender until smooth, and voila! 

Bell Peppers
